Straight At The Sun is my 2nd CD.  The title of the album comes from the song of the same name about a fictional revered Indian warrior who’s aging spurs his people’s sympathy. All of the songs on this album are my own with the exception of the last one; “Hide Away,” which was written by Steve Shouse of Kansas City, Kansas.
A Kansas City area DJ, whose name I can no longer recall, was so impressed by “She’s Making Money,” she let out an excitable outburst after the song was concluded causing one of my most memorable life moments.  The station had a program called ‘HOME TAPES’ where they’d play KC area rockers songs none of which had caused any kind of response from the DJs let alone a happy outburst. I have a recorded version of the song as it was played over the air including the DJ’s response.
