The song Lady Of The Island, also the name of this album, was written by Michael Knox, Chuck Peavler, and myself around 1983. I came up with chord progression for the verses while Mike and Chuck came up with the music for the chorus. Mike wrote all of the words. I thought it was a great name and song and felt that was appropriate title for my 3rd album. Chuck, deceased since 1997, and I composed Everybody Needs Love, which was featured in another form on Hometapes on KY102 in Kansas City in the early 80’s. Some of the songs were written in the late 70’s and early 80’s while others were composed around the time this CD was released.
The CD cover artwork was actually a picture of an island’s shore that I located on the internet and then was manipulated with Adobe’s Photo Deluxe using it’s ‘sponge’ feature.
